Google has decided to spread through Youtube videos sponsored sites that use AdSense .
Apparently this new feature of AdSense is already available in Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain and, of course, the United States.
The sponsored videos taken from Youtube are different from the classic video ads to AdSense and are displayed as a thumbnail with three lines of text. When the user clicks on the thumbnail of the video, watch a video or view a channel on YouTube. The formats can be published ads are as follows:
- Medium Rectangle (300 x 250)
- Large Rectangle (336 x 280)
- Leaderboard (728 x 90)
- Square (250 x 250)
- Small Square (200 x 200)
I still have not seen video ads in Italian ... but here's one in English taken from Youtube.com:
The remuneration will be based only on the number of clicks.
If you do not like this news, you can prevent the posting of videos sponsored by adding "youtube.com" in the "competitive ad filter."
But considering the success they are enjoying the videos on the internet, this idea of Google seems pretty interesting, especially for a certain category of sites that make extensive use of multimedia content. What do you think?
