Lately there is much talk of the DNS to open Google as greater speed during the voyage but is not necessarily true for everyone. The speed of DNS may depend on several factors, for example, by 'routing of packets used by your ADSL provider and location of sites where you usually sail.
What I propose, for the correct setting and use of the DNS, is the program Namebench that automatically monitor all sites where access most often, using the cache of your browser, or alternatively, the first 10,000 sites in the Alexa ranking, and compare the time taken using the most common DNS. The test to be performed may take ten minutes after which it will automatically open the browser with a page containing the detailed information that include graphs for easier understanding and, on the same page, which will advise Namebench DNS adopt.
Namebench requires no installation and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac. Fundamental state, the program interface, the IP (site addresses) on which to perform the test to get results.
Here is a link to Google DNS
This and for Namebench
Have fun!
