Intel introduces new Atom N470

Intel has announced a new version of the Atom processor systems, model N470, intended for use in platforms indicated by the code name of Pine Trail. The CPU then resumes the technical features of the latest Atom solutions, among which mention the integration of GPU and memory controller.

The GMA 3150 GPU model, while the integrated memory controller is compatible with DDR2 memory. Unlike previous platforms the Atom Series Trai Pine brings a simplification of the motherboard, because the architecture of the chipset coupled to the processor is a single chip, and not with north and south bridge as with the first series of Atom processors.


The specifications state a clock frequency of 1.83 GHz, single core architecture with HyperThreading technology, with 512 Kbytes L2 cache and support for DDR2 memory up to the clock frequency of 667 MHz
