Sapphire anticipates what will be the main innovations introduced at CeBit in Hanover, an event which opens the following day, Tuesday, March 2. As the exclusive partner of AMD in the marketing of video cards, Sapphire plans for the German trade fair debut of two new video cards of the Radeon 5000.

The first solution is the Sapphire HD 5870 Eyefinity6 Edition card, AMD announced last week but has yet to officially debut on the market. Sapphire show this product in a setup with 6 27-inch screens, each with a maximum resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels.

A Radeon HD 5970 is the second major innovations of Sapphire, this product in the allocation of video memory has been increased up to 4 Gbytes 2 Gbytes against the default Radeon HD 5970. This type of cards on the same PCB integrate two distinct series RV870 GPU, each of which is coupled with an allocation of video memory by default to 1 Gbyte.

The doubling in the amount of video memory of the proposal of Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 are likely to deliver significant performance gains especially using Eyefinity configurations with 3 screens mounted in parallel.

Among other innovations anticipated by Sapphire for the CeBIT 2010 mention a motherboard form factor Mini-ITX, AMD 785G chipset with AM3 socket and, in addition to a solution based on Intel Atom Netbook Series Pine Trail, with Atom N450 Processor, 1 GB of system memory and hard disk capacity of 250 Gbytes.
