Rilasciati in questi giorni i driver ATI Catalyst da AMD, per le schede video ATI Radeon HD delle serie 4000 e 5000.

La release è stata ufficializzata in concomitanza con il lancio del gioco Bad Company 2, e AMD ne garantisce per cui la massima compatibilità.

Per il rilascio dei driver certificati WHQL dovremmo invece aspettare ancora qualche giorno.

Additional Recommendations:
If the issue continues to occur after installation of the driver preview, the following troubleshooting steps can help resolve the issue:

Scheda Video Radeon 5970 da 4 GB di Sapphire

Sapphire ha anticipato quelle che saranno le principali novità presentate al CeBit di Hannover, evento che aprirà i battenti nella giornata di domani, Martedì 2 Marzo. Come partner esclusivo di AMD nella commercializzazione di schede video, Sapphire ha in programma per la fiera tedesca il debutto di due nuove schede video della serie Radeon 5000.

La prima è la soluzione Sapphire HD 5870 Eyefinity6 Edition, scheda annunciata da AMD la scorsa settimana ma che deve ancora ufficialmente debuttare sul mercato. Sapphire dimostrerà questo prodotto in un setup a 6 schermi da 27 pollici, ciascuno con risoluzione massima di 1920×1200 pixel.

Una scheda Radeon HD 5970 rappresenta la seconda principale novità di Sapphire; in questo prodotto la dotazione di memoria video è stata portata sino a 4 Gbytes contro i 2 Gbytes di default per schede Radeon HD 5970. Questo tipo di schede integrano sullo stesso PCB due distinte GPU della serie RV870, a ciascuna delle quali è abbinata una dotazione di memoria video pari di default a 1 Gbyte.

Il raddoppio nel quantitativo di memoria video della proposta Radeon HD 5970 di Sapphire dovrebbe permettere di ottenere un significativo incremento prestazionale soprattutto utilizzando configurazioni Eyefinity con 3 schermi montati in parallelo.

Tra le altre novità anticipate da Sapphire per il CeBit 2010 segnaliamo una scheda madre in form factor Mini-ITX, basata su chipset AMD 785G e dotata di Socket Am3, oltre ad una soluzione netbook basata su piattaforma Intel Atom della serie Pine Trail, dotata di processore Atom N450, memoria di sistema da 1 Gbyte e hard disk da 250 Gbytes di capacità.

Scarica Catalyst 10.1 Hotfix per problemi con ATI 5800

Sono ormai mesi che ad AMD ATI vengono segnalati errori e malfunzionamenti in deternimati modelli di schede video della serie 5800, errori di schermate con righe di colore grigio/nero che appaiono sul monitor senza un determinato ordine.

Nonostante ATI AMD abbia fornito poco tempo l’ultima versione di driver catalyst, sembra non sia riuscita a risolvere questo fastidiosissimo bug, ed è per questo che nei giorni scorsi ha reso disponibile la nuova versione Hot Fix dei driver 10.1, sostenendo quindi che tramite l’installazione di questa nuova versione si possano risolvere i problemi legati alle schede video della famiglia 5800.

Disponibile da ieri la prima release ufficiale del 2010 da parte di AMD per le nostre schede video ATI RADEON, i driver CATALYST versione 10.1.

Non c’è nulla di eclatante da segnalare, se non qualche notizia che interesserà i Netgamer, infatti la versione 10.1 dei Driver ATI Catalyst incrementerà di poco le prestazioni di alcuni titoli, tra i più importanti Crysis e Left for dead 2 di Valve, ma solo per le schede Radeon HD 5800 e la HD 5700.

C’è invece da segnalare un piccolo Bug, dopo l’aggiornamento infatti il Sistema Operativo vi presenterà i Driver come versione 9.12, ma l’errore è solo di numerazione ( o forse un copia incolla dimenticato ), per cui state tranquilli, sul vostro pc sono installati i driver 10.1 di AMD.

Come sempre i Driver vengono rilasciati per Windows Xp-32/64 Bit e Vista/Seven 32 e 64 Bit.

Scarica i nuovi Driver ATI Catalyst 9.12 per Windows 7 – Vista – XP 32/64 Bit

Ecco i nuovi Driver ATI Catalyst, resi disponibili da AMD per le nostre schede video Radeon HD2000/3000/4000/5000 su sistemi opearativi Windows.
Questa nuova versione di driver fornisce un supporto completo per Directcupute 10.1 per schede video HD 4800 e HD 4700, per configurazioni standard o Crossfire, estendendo anche il supporto Open GL 3.2 su tutte le schede Radeon HD.

AMD sostiene che questi Driver migliorino le prestazioni ludiche ( Videogiochi ) e amministrative di circa il 10%, riferendosi alle schede HD5800/5700, effettuando il test con il famoso Benchmark 3D Mark Vamtage di casa FutureMark.

Le notività non terminano qui, infatti oltre ai Driver AMD ATI mette a disposizione un Hotfix ( da scaricare separatamente ) che aggiunge il supporto completo per l’accelerazione tramite GPU di OpenCL se si usufruisce di ATI Stream SDK v2.0. Questa funzione è supportata dalle schede ATI Radeon HD 5970, ATI Radeon HD 5800, ATI Radeon HD 5700, ATI Radeon HD 4000 e FireStream 9200.

Tramite questo Hotfix viene finalmente aggiunto anche il supporto per ATI CrossFireX su configurazioni multi-monitor che usan la tecnologia ATI Evefinity, il supporto per audio via DisplayPort e risolti i problemi con i recentissimi titoli quali Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Resident Evil 5, City of Heroes, Wheelman, Enemy Territories: Quake Wars e Chronicles of Riddick.

Ecco i Nuovi Driver ATI Catalyst, resi disponibili da AMD per le nostre schede video Radeon.

La novità della nuova release è l’implementazione WHQL per i sistemi che installano il nuovo sistema operativo Windows 7. Questi sono anche i primi Driver che supportano le recenti schede video della serie radeon HD 5000, mettendo a disposizione il supporto per le DirectX 11 e DirecCompute 11 implementando le nuove modalità anti-aliasing con tecnologia Supersampling.
